The WG821-11 is part of Ecovacs’s Winbot W2 Omni line (sometimes referred to with “WG821-11 / WG821-11EDR”). It’s a robotic window cleaning device that attaches to glass surfaces and automates the process of spraying, scrubbing, and wiping windows. It comes with a docking “station” that supports operations such as powering the robot, managing cables, and storing it when not in use.

Key features :

  • Suction:  5,500 Pa of suction force to hold itself to glass surfaces and enable movement.
  • Water Tank:  60 ml capacity — full tank allows 60 minutes of spray operation.
  • Cable / Reach: Uses a “compound cable” (power + safety tether combined) with effective length about 5.5 m. It is suited for windows up to 4 m wide and 2.5 m tall.
  • Docking / Station: The station has automatic cable winding, and the robot returns to it for storage.
  • Cleaning Modes: Multiple cleaning modes (e.g. Fast, Deep, Edge) selectable via the station or companion app.
  • Edge & Mode Detection: Sensors detect glass edges, help avoid falling, and enable optimized cleaning paths.
  • Battery / Backup: It has a backup battery system so that if power is lost, the robot will remain attached for a limited time (prevents falling).
  • Noise & Operation: The design aims to maintain stability during wet wiping and movement.
  • Safety: The system includes anti-fall / anti-drop protection mechanisms, and a safety tether/rope is required during operation.
  • Start & Operation: You turn on the station and robot, place the robot on the glass, it attaches and begins cleaning. The system supports pausing, mode switching, and stopping.
  • Usage Constraints: Best used on smooth, flat glass surfaces (no big gaps, seams or cracks). The wiping pad must be wetted before use.
  • Maintenance: The wiping pad is removable (Velcro attachment) and must be cleaned/dried after use. The water tank should not be overfilled.
  • Charging Time: Around ~3 hours under typical room conditions.
