Fearful by Lauren Roberts (published by Simon & Schuster Ltd) is a companion novella to her popular romantasy series Powerless (also referred to as The Powerless Trilogy). It is set during the timeline of the third instalment (“Fearless”) and centres on new perspectives in the fantasy kingdom of Ilya: Mara returns unwillingly to Ilya, and Death (personified) seeks to understand Kitt Azer’s mind as he nears his fate.
